    Fundraiser Update

Friday, June 29, 2007, 10:27 PM EST [General]

Well the date and location is now set for Sunnybrook Lanes in Sterling Heights, MI on Friday October 19th at 10pm. I am doing this to raise money for my stores "Relay for Life" team. I want to raise as much as I can and I am doing this on my own with very little help from the rest of the people at my store (Best Buy Utica). So far I have a good amount of raffle prizes from 20 companies so far. The following are some the items I have.

    7 Bowling Balls
    3 Double Ball Totes
    2 Single Ball Bags
    3 Pairs of Shoes
    40 Towels
    3 Accessory Bags
    2 Jackets
1 Magazine Subscription for 1 year
Autographed items from Chris Barnes, Danny Wiseman, Parker Bohn III, Walter Ray Williams Jr., Tony Reyes

More coming and on the way also.

    Fundraiser

Saturday, May 26, 2007, 11:27 AM EST [General]

On Saturday May 19th I held a Bowling Fundraiser to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We did raise $310 but I was hoping for a lot more so not as big of a success as I was hoping for. I only had 21 people show up all of which I asked personally.

I made a ton of flyers and handed out about 300-400 of them and not one person from flyers showed up, I had a website from Michigan send out a mass e-mail about it and again no one showed up, I even messaged over 100 people on a few sites. Not sure why no one showed up I see all other fundraisers that raise $2,000 and have a ton of people show up. Was it because most every one was busy or that bowling season was over and they didn't want to go out, not sure.

I plan on doing two more bowling fundraisers this upcoming year and my goal is to have 100 people show up which is 80 more then I just had so I have my work cut out for me. The money raised goes to a good cause. I am sure everyone has been affected some way by Cancer.

I am in the process of getting some bowling companies to donate some product to raffle off, this should bring in the league bowlers and even new bowlers to the fundraiser as they would have a chance to win Bowling Balls, Bags, Towels, Shoes etc.

I hope I can get some of you to show up next year it will be alot of fun.

    Thanks,
    Adam Harvey
